5085E Utility Tractor
5100E Utility Tractor

Effective immediately, the FT4 model year 2015 4-cylinder 5E Utility Tractors are available. Featuring John Deere PowerTech™ 4045 PWL diesel engines, these 85 and 100 hp utility tractors replace the Interim Tier 4-compliant (IT4) 5085E and 5100E Utility Tractors.

The new FT4 tractors will feature the following engine and power take-off (PTO) horsepower levels:

Model Engine hp PTO hp
5085E 85 70
5100E 100 85

Utilizing diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), the new engine emissions solution includes a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to meet new FT4 regulations. This package of components meets these regulations while minimizing the total impact to overall cost of ownership.

FT4 Cooling Package
A new, low-sloping front hood design provides increased over-the-hood visibility for operating front implements, such as loader buckets, pallet forks, and bale spears. This is accomplished with an innovative cooling package design that features a slide-out condenser, tilting charge air cooler, and sliding oil cooler – all of which can be accessed and cleaned without the use of tools. A rigid first-pass screen is also included for better cooling system protection.

OOS Control Layout
To provide an operator access to more information on one screen, the redesigned instrument cluster features an LCD screen that digitally displays important machine information, such as PTO speed, engine speed, and hours. Ease of operation is better than ever with a new control switch layout on the front panel, including standard electrohydraulic mechanical front-wheel drive (MFWD) engagement.
An optional 24/12 PowrReverser™ transmission increases productivity by offering high and low range for each gear, increasing or decreasing ground speed by 20 percent at the touch of a button. This transmission is capable of achieving speeds up to 40 km/h (24.9 mph) in transport. Add light-emitting diode (LED) work lights as a field kit for the most productive 4-cylinder 5E Tractor.

Standard telescoping draft links and sway bars
Factory Installed loader mounting frames
Standard telescoping draft links and adjustable sway bars provide easy rear implement hookup without requiring any tools. A stackable selective control valve (SCV) design allows customers to easily upgrade from dual to triple SCVs, both mid and rear, in the field.
A loader preparation package is now available from the factory. This package includes both the hood guard and loader mounting frames to simplify initial loader installations. Four PRUs can be ordered from the factory to fill orders quickly, and three of those include the loader preparation package in base.
