Z997R Diesel ZTrak with 72-in. (183-cm) Mower Deck

Z997R with 60-in. (152-cm) Rear-Discharge Mower Deck

The new John Deere Z997R Diesel ZTrak Mower replaces the 997 for model year 2015. It has changes to meet the latest engine emission standards and improved comfort and convenience features to reduce operator fatigue.

The Z997R is well-suited for use by government agencies, private contractors, and large-property owners. It is orderable with the following factory-installed mower decks:

60-in. (152-cm) 7-Iron™ PRO Side Discharge
60-in. (152-cm) 7-Iron Mulch On Demand™ PRO Side Discharge
60-in. (152-cm) Rear Discharge
72-in. (183-cm) 7-Iron PRO Side Discharge

Key features

Liquid-cooled, three-cylinder diesel engine with a gross 37.4 hp* (27.5 kW) meets Final Tier 4 emission standards and has plenty of power and torque for superior performance with a variety of available mower decks. It is the most powerful diesel zero-turn-radius mower on the market.
Kanzaki® DUP 17SB dual-unitized hydraulic pump and TG0310 18.9-cu in. (310-cc) wheel motors from Parker Ross provide a heavy-duty drive system for reliability and long life.
Easy-to-operate controls are color-coded and easy to locate and use.
Shaft and gearbox mower drive is efficient and durable to minimize cost and maximize uptime.
Superior operator comfort is offered with the latest-design seat options for maximum comfort and productivity.
Serviceability is designed-in to save time and encourage regular maintenance to keep the machine operating at peak performance and minimize downtime and repair cost. The Z997R is Service ADVISOR™ equipped.
Flat-free front caster wheels reduce downtime.
Two seat options are available, including a fully-adjustable suspension seat.
