Axle flat - Axle shafts available on model year 2015 9R Series Tractors
Axles are flat on two sides of the axle shaft to improve performance and reduce maintenance

Axle flats are an option on the 9520R, 9570R, and 9620R ag models and are standard equipment on all 9R Scraper Special Tractors. Axle flats are integrated on 120-mm (4.72-in.) diameter axles for improved wheel attachment and reduced maintenance. Axle flats provide better retention to the wheel and less chance of axle slip to the wheel; this is especially advantageous in heavy draft load applications.
