An introductory agronomy course that covers the basics of soil texture, water movement, roots and irrigation. Upon completion, students will be able to: Describe the different soil types Explain how water moves through the soil Identify the different parts of a plant root system Identify the impact of water and soil chemistry on water movement Describe how roots interact with soil & water Explain the importance of managing water for proper plant growth.
