John Deere G5Plus Display

Customers expect a similar user experience on their tractor that they use every day with their smart phones or tablets. The G5Plus displays offer a 33 percent larger, sleek tablet-like design with faster processing capabilities. The G5Plus will be base for on all model year 2024 7, 8 and 9-series tractors.

StarFire 7000 Integrated Receiver

The StarFire 7000 Receiver is the latest receiver to John Deere’s Precision Ag Technology suite. The SF7000 integrated receiver offers greater accuracy, faster pull-in times, and season-to-season repeatability. This means faster times recovering from a shading event and the confidence that your guidance lines/boundaries won’t shift from year to year. The SF7000 integrated receiver will be in base on all 7, 8 and 9-series tractors.

Rear Implement Ethernet Connection

Prepare your model year 2024 tractor with high bandwidth communication between the tractor and implement. With an increase to 1 GB/s of CAN speed (previously 250 kb/s), tractors and implements in the future will be able to communicate high-definition data faster resulting in better decision-making for customers and John Deere dealers. Rear implement ethernet will be needed for future Precision Ag applications and is a building block for John Deere’s autonomous solutions.

Autonomy Prep

With autonomous farming solutions on the horizon, many customers are wondering what they can do to ensure the tractors they are purchasing today will be ready to operate autonomously. The factory available Autonomy Prep option ensures many of the known requirements are in place for 8 and 9 series tractors, minimizing the additional equipment (hardware and software) needed to enable full future adoption.

New corner post display (primary display unit)

In addition to the new G5Plus Display, the corner post display (Primary Display Unit [PDU]) has also been updated. The new PDU features digital readouts and an illustration area. All model year 2024 tractors will experience this new operator interface.

Integrated digital cameras

Front and rear-view integrated digital cameras are now part of the ultimate visibility package. With the integration of the G5Plus Display, these cameras will provide the operator an experience similar to their 1080i HD TV picture quality.

Improved USB charging (USB-C and power delivery)

The upgraded USB charging module in model year 2024 ensures that our tractor cabs are up to date when it comes to the charging requirements for newer devices that customers use in the cab. This improvement will allow devices to keep up with a charge while the device is in use.

Redesigned cup holders

One of the many in-cab updates for model year 2024 is the redesigned cupholders. This redesign securely holds any liquids the operator brings in the cab for improved cab comfort and convenience.

Improved Hydraulic SCVs

All 7, 8 and 9-Series tractors will feature a new SCV stack to improve performance and aftermarket serviceability. The change will further enable customers to fine-tune hydraulic flow rates and more precisely adjust the flow. This change will also make it easier and more affordable to customize an SCV stack by switching coupler sizes. Previously this would’ve been done by changing an entire SCV slice.

Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS)

John Deere CTIS allows operators to quickly adjust tire pressure without leaving the cab, insuring no compromise in tire pressure regardless of the situation. On the road, John Deere CTIS increases transport efficiency and reduces tire wear by allowing precise tire adjustments to match implement requirements.
